Located in La Malbaie and part of the Charlevoix region, the regional park of Mont Grand-Fonds is a wonderful and relatively small family ski resort. It isn’t fancy, but a very fun spot. The resort is about 150 km east of Quebec City and boasts all the beauty of the Unesco World Biosphere that is the Charlevoix region. Taking advantage of an incredible annual average of 650 cm of natural snow, the Mont Grand-Fronds boasts 335 meters of vertical, 14 trails of all levels of expertise, 4 glades, a snow park and no line-ups at the lifts. Other winter activities include skating, snowshoeing, dog sledding, tubing and alpine cross country skiing. Amenities such as restaurant/bar, repair/rental shop and cafeteria are available.
