Mont-Sainte-Anne seems to be the destination resort king of this area. Mont-Sainte-Anne offers 66 trails over 3 mountain faces and some real technical terrain. Pair incredible snow conditions with stunning views of the St. Lawrence River and the Laurentians and you have to agree – Mont-Sainte-Anne is a must ski place. Two thirds of the mountain cater to all abilities, but for experts, Mont-Sainte-Anne boasts an entire third of a mountain devoted to black and double black rated runs.
If you’re looking for a good terrain park, you’ll want to head to Mont-Sainte-Anne’s La Grande-Allée, to find the beginner park or the more advanced XL Park. The learning park enables beginners to check things out and master some smaller stunts. Once you’ve mastered your moves, the XL Park will wow you with a series of features including rails with kinks, c-box, box down, wall-ride, picnic tables and more, all designed and maintained by Mathieu Chiquet. Please note that access to the XL park is controlled.
While you’ll find all the amenities including rentals, daycare, shops, restaurants and bars at Mont-Sainte-Anne, it is only 30 minutes away from Quebec City, a city steeped in history and culture. So, if you want to venture into the City after a day of skiing or snowboarding, you can’t beat this destination . Of course, you can stay on to ski well into the night and enjoy 17 lighted trails and the highest vertical drop for night skiing in all of Canada.
