Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort is located just 15 minutes from the town of Banff and gives you over 3300 acres of terrain spread over 3 mountains. With 80 years of history, Sunshine can deliver the ski or snowboard vacation you want. It is the only time you’ll have the chance to ride or ski in Alberta and British Columbia while you go down the same run. Sunshine is never crowded and with more than 925cm (30ft)of snow per year you’ll always enjoy the powder. There are 107 named runs, the longest being 8km. There are 12 lifts which include a high speed 8 passendger gondola (the world’s fastest actually) and 8 super lifts as well as 2 magic carpets. Sunshine hosts the area’s largest terrain park with 12 acres of features to ride.
If you’re looking for the extreme off-piste adventure, Sunshine is the place for you. Delirium Dive and Wild West are probably some of the craziest inbounds skiing anywhere and have been enjoyed by many expert skiers and riders. Silver City, previously unused is extreme and for experts only. Guests who choose to enter these 3 areas will need to be equipped with an avalanche beacon, shovel and travel with a similarly equipped partner.
