Stoneham was established back in the 1960s because its location was just so quality. Now, over forty years later, it has grown tremendously but is still a quality resort with a festive atmosphere and ideal conditions for skiers and snow boarders of all levels, both day and night. With an annual natural snowfall of 420 cm/year, complimented by a high performance snow making system and superior grooming on 32 trails of varying levels of expertise, covering 326 acres of skiable terrain over 4 mountains, and so close to Quebec City, you absolutely cannot go wrong at Stoneham. Stoneham has 19 trails that span 180 acres lit for night skiing as well as a lit superpipe which makes it the largest network for night skiing in Canada. There are 7 lifts and a phenomenal terrain park. The park has 4 zones and features include 27 rails, 1 lit super halfpipe with 22 foot walls and a 20 foot high wall ride. You can understand why Stoneham attracts some of the best riders in the world, and gets to host all these great events.
As well, Stoneham has a variety of accommodations and stay and ski packages available. It is only about a 20 minute drive to Quebec City, but Stoneham certainly has great apres ski right on site. It is definitely a don’t miss.
