At Apex Mountain resort you’ll find about 600 cm of dry “Okanagan” powder, awesome terrain, a 2000 ft vertical drop and friendly people, all only about 30 minutes drive from Penticton, BC. Apex Mountain is perfectly located to benefit from huge precipitation, but low humidity. Some might consider Apex to be small, at least by BC standards, but with 67 trails, Apex has something for all levels of skier or snowboarder. There is a Magic Carpet lift for beginners and once you’re ready for the chair, there are at least 16 wide and groomed green and blue runs spread over fabulous gently rolling hills. The resort’s main peak is called Mt. Beaconsfield and it has fantastic natural terrain including bowls, gullies, glades and you’ll love the fantastic cruising runs. There are two terrain parks – The Orage and Crooked Park. The Orage is a huge park featuring jumps and a big rail line. Crooked Park on Maverick has a great mix of boxes and jumps. They’ve got C Boxes (set up as an X Box), a 20’ big box, S-Rails, R3 and more.
In addition to the Alpine slopes, there is a Tim Horton’s Tube Park, snowmobiling trails, skating, cross-country skiing, hot tub, spa and children’s activities. Apex has a fantastic après ski experience and is famous for quality and comfort. Accommodations are varied with something for every need from hostel to B&B.

Apex has received multiple accolades over the years and is now recognized as a National Training Centre for Aerials and Moguls. Apex is great for families and singles looking to get away from it all and just enjoy some great snow. It’s not crowded and it meets all your ski resort vacation needs, while still being low-key and friendly.
