Pretty much all you need to know about Mt. Washington is the snow! With an average of more than 10.5 meters of snow per year, Mount Washington is dubbed “Canada’s deepest pile”. Spread over 1,600+ acres of terrain, you can choose from 60 marked runs with a variety of difficulty. For the serious skiers and snowboarders, there is great access to the backcountry and since Mt. Washington is far less busy than its mainland competition, you are very likely to snag fresh lines here. Be sure to hit the west side of the mountain for the good, steep powder runs.
There are 2 Terrain parks at Mt. Washington, The Stomping Grounds and The Green Zone. Mount Washington has invested tremendously into The Stomping Ground in recent years. They’ve added $150,000 in new features and it’s safe to say that The Stomping Ground is now one of BC’s leading terrain parks. If you’re a definite park rat, you’ll love how they’ve been able to turn all that great deep snow into great jumps and rollers and you’ll love the street-style rails at The Stomping Ground. The Green Zone Terrain Park features a list of rails that they are constantly changing up to keep things interesting.
Additionally there are lodges with great restaurants, bars, rentals, snow school and a village with ski-in/ski-out accommodation for more than 4,000 people.
