Red Mountain Resort has 87 runs across two mountains with features everyone would love. The terrain on Red and Granite mountains run the gamut from wide-open groomed slopes to crazy steep and powdery glades. There is an incredible 3000 ft vertical and champagne powder with great staff and no wait time. The terrain park is the only one in the West Kootenay region and boasts 6 acres of rails, funboxes, wallride and tabletop jumps for all levels of rides. Red is organized to make it easy for all levels. The beginner area is perfect for those new to skiing or snowboarding. Intermediate skiers and riders will love the Paradise Basin with mostly blue runs (and a few black diamonds in there too). Advanced skiers and snowboarders won’t be disappointed by the challenging terrain of the advanced areas. True thrill seekers can hit the Grey Basin for an extreme experience. Freeriding through the trees is how this mountain got on the map. Red Mountain has lessons, daycare, rentals, shopping and a great apres-ski scene. Red is investing huge dollars into the development of the mountain and their slopeside accommodations but doing it slowly so as to stay true to their roots!
