Sun Peaks British Columbia V0E 5N0
Canada

Sun Peaks Resort is centrally located only 45 minutes from Kamloops in the British Columbia Interior where the region is known worldwide for its light, dry, easy-to-ski powder. Sun Peaks Resort averages about 559 cm of this great powder! Sun Peaks is the second largest ski area in British Columbia and the third largest in Canada. The size is big, but at Sun Peaks, what you’ll love is the variety of terrain. There are 122 runs that include 12 glade areas, 2 alpine bowls and a fantastic 9 acre terrain park with tons of new features and 3 distinct zones for beginner, intermediate and expert, sponsored by Rockstar Energy. There are a variety of trails for each level of skier/snow boarder from each chairlift so that groups with different abilities can still stay together. A decided asset to the resort is that there is only one traverse – the Mt. Morrisey Connector run. Sun Peaks has a charming ski-through alpine village with 24 restaurants and cafes, great shopping, bars, pubs, and hotels. The resort is family friendly with daycare service, ski/snowboard programs for kids and even a special club just for teens. There are also 28 km of groomed trails and 12 km of back country trails for cross country skiers.
You know its got to be good because Sun Peaks is also home to Olympic Gold Medalist and Female Athlete of the 20th Century, Nancy Greene.
