Salmo is a great volunteer-run hill, with a variety of terrain and an average 300 cm annual snowfall, located in the west Kootenays, just south of the city of Salmo. The people are friendly, there is never any wait time and the night skiing is super. The 5 trails are evenly spread across all levels of skill so whether you are looking for the gentle slopes to the moguls to the steep hikes, there is something for everyone. Rentals and ski school are available and there is a great day lodge with concession.
