If you’re local to the resort then it’s a great place to go and get some Snowboarding in after work or on the weekend for a few hours and not have to worry about driving 3 hours home. It’s not a place you’d go to from hours away, but if you’re fairly close then you can’t beat it. They’ve also got a nice restaurant/bar area to chill out with a couple beers after the day with some good food. They do have night skiing/snowboarding and it’s one of the best times to go because it’s way less busy. All and all it’s a great place to spend some time on the hills.

Great little hill. What it doesn’t have in vertical it makes up for in other ways. Good beginner hills with both magic carpet and chair, nice progression of difficulty from beginner to black. Grooming is always superb, and friendly lifties help make it a great day on the snow. Good lessons, good all- round family hill.

We live close by and it is a great hill for small kids so we go a few times a year. Pretty expensive and small hills so we generally go North or to Glenn Eden. Prices are outrageous so if you have to drive any more than 30 minutes go elsewhere. Lots of hills within an hour and much better value. Lodge is excellent but again a small hot chocolate is over $3.00 and the service is slow. With a ski ticket that is measured by the hour best to skip the lodge until the end of the day. Longest line is the one you have to stand in to get your ski pass, and believe me it is long. The service seems to be going down hill. All in all a nice family hill to get out to a couple times a year, completely agree with Dan.

Thanks for your review Heather. We’ve found Chicopee very similar to Glen Eden also – feels a tiny bit bigger? Always good to get out there though, and here’s hoping we’ll soon get a little better conditions here in Ontario eh? More snow please!

The hill is alright because its so close to me. The hill is small but lifts are fast so its straight hot laps. The park is mehh, good for beginners and people wanting to learn. The beginner park area is awesome with a double chair and a magic carpet.

Management is AWFUL. Food is way over priced, along with everything else (tickets, lessons, rentals..) Lift operators are nice people, but aside from that the place is just awful.

Hi Al – no one ever said skiing is a cheap sport, that’s for sure. Sounds like a negative experience at Chicopee. Maybe a larger resort is for you! Better luck somewhere else.
