Chicopee has 75 years experience providing skiers in the Kitchener, Waterloo and surrounding areas with a premier winter ski resort experience. In the past few years, they’ve expanded their resort to incorporate the green season. But let’s focus on the winter first – Chicopee boasts 14 trails, with 4 for beginners, 5 for intermediates and 5 for advanced as well as a terrain park. Skiers and riders won’t have to wait long to head up with 6 lifts including 2 triple chairs, 2 double chairs and 2 magic carpets. They usually have a base of 159.5 cm of natural snow and employ superior snowmaking and grooming techniques to top up and keep the slopes ready. Chicopee is a great place to get away for a relaxing day on the slopes but still be close to home. Night skiing is also available and given Chicopee’s close proximity, locals can head for a few hours skiing afterwork. They have great lessons and clinics available for all ages and aptitudes. Chicopee has been the home resort to Olympica skiiers and the training ground for many sports enthusiasts. Whether you are brand new to skiing and want to take a lesson or try out the renowned beginner terrain, or you are an experienced skier wanting to improve your technique on the more advanced slopes, Chicopee will come through with a great experience.
Also available during the winter season are guided snowshoe hikes and a winter climbing wall. Certain restrictions apply so call first to confirm availability.
Additionally, Chicopee has set a focus on the off-season operations. They’ve created a fantastic program of camps for kids, programs for corporate clients and have formal mountain biking trails across 165 acres of property. They offer golf, adventure challenge experiences, tennis, beach volleyball and much more. Chicopee is a year round playground and a easy to get to day for southern Ontarions to enjoy.
