Set amid the beauty of Banff National Park and just minutes from town, Mount Norquay offers you a variety of terrain guaranteed to keep your whole party happy regardless of skill level. Mount Norquay has tree-sheltered runs so that the ride is great even when the snow is blowing. The slopes are vast – beginner runs to expert with lots of choices in between. The 28 runs are spread over 190 uncrowded acres and there are no lift lines, just a reputation for challenge. With only 5 lifts, Norquay is definitely smaller than other area resorts, but it has some of the steepest runs in the area and is the only Banff resort with lit night trails and a lit terrain park. Mount Norquay also offers riders flexibility and value – they are the only Banff resort to offer tickets by the hour, as well as half, full day and night and multi-day. Majority of Norquay’s trails are intermediate level and there is a terrain park, which as mentioned, is lit. The terrain park was designed by Jeff Patterson for everyone to play on, novice to pro and is a must-hit.
Beyond the skiing and boarding, Norquay opens for snow tubing this year. With a snow tube rope tow and four chutes with large lanes, a vertical drop of 50 m and slide length of 260m, you’re guaranteed a thrill.
