Lakeridge Resort is located in Uxbridge, part of the picturesque Oak Ridges Moraine. Not far from Toronto, Lakeridge is a solid choice for outdoor recreation. This resort markets itself as a year round facility, but lets concentrate on winter first.
Lakeridge has 23 trails serviced by 5 lifts – 3 quads and 2 handle tows. Trails range from easy to expert. Snowboarders who have ridden at Lakeridge know that they have three terrain parks – Razors Edge, Little Razors Edge and the Little Rogers Rail park. Riders will want to know that this year Lakeridge has given a facelift to the popular Lakeridge Wall Ride. They’ve sped things up by re-surfacing the wall with puckboard for a smoother ride that will require less in-run speed. As well, they’ve converted some of the old flat bar rails to T-Boxes. Lakeridge offers a variety of lessons and camps and night skiing is available.
Beyond skiing and snowboarding, Lakeridge offers 4 groomed tubing trails with 2 tows up, so wait time up is minimal. Lakeridge has a 27,111 Sq. Ft. Chalet with a licensed bar and 2 Cafeterias.
During the green season from May to November, Lakeridge offers high ropes and low ropes courses, mountain biking, a rock wall, orienteering, obstacle course and extreme challenge summer camps through their Experiential Education Facility. Participants learn methods to increase their communication skills as well as building self-esteem and confidence.
